Preface
AVG非常开心的迎来艺术家李勇的个展“锦里西路”。以AVG空间所在地的道路命名来体现本次驻留作品的在地性。本次展览作品包括装置和绘画，其中包含了之前多位驻留艺术家的作品元素。或以材料展现，或以文字表现，或直接拿用。加上李勇的色彩构成，李勇的剩余观念，形成特有的视觉场景。
李勇擅长使用高饱和度的色彩。将材料与颜色的搭配整体戏剧化，细节浪漫化。在消费主义过剩的时代，如何处理和转化剩余，如何处理物欲与价值的关系。锦里西路作为一个中介，使不同的艺术家通过剩余进行神交。作品形式只是持续性的会面，剩余是重复也是新生。
Aspiring Van Gogh is pleased to present "Jinli West Road", a solo exhibition by artist Yong Li. The road where Aspiring Van Gogh is located is named to reflect the locality of this residency work. The exhibition includes installations and paintings that incorporate elements from previous resident artists. Either in material, or in words, or directly to use. Together with Yong's color composition, Yong's remaining concept forms a unique visual scene.
Yong Li is good at using high-saturation advertising colors. The combination of materials and colors is dramatized and details romanticized. In the era of excess consumerism, how to deal with and transform surplus, how to deal with the relationship between material desire and value. Jinli West Road serves as an intermediary, enabling different artists to communicate with each other through surplus. The form of the work is only a continuous meeting, and the rest is repetition and renewal.

Yong Li
出生于重庆。个人创作更多是基于个体经验与历史现场以及集体记忆做为世界遭遇的当前存在，通过装置、摄影、绘画、现场文本等不同媒介的综合表达，构成一个视觉结构和集体叙事，在这个文本关系中留出一个可感的停顿空间，以提示一种情感记忆和肉身遭遇在全球化资本景观下的脆弱和现实感。2015年至今，同时开始策展工作。
Born in Chongqing. His works is showing the current existence of the world,which are based on the individual experience, historical scene, and collective memory. Through the comprehensive expression of different media such as installation, painting and live text, it constitutes a visual narrative composed of sensory structure, and dedicating the sense of pause space to remind the fragile sense of history of emotional memory and physical encounter those who under the current capital landscape. Since 2015, he has also started exhibition curation work.
